Ward Christmas Party

Our ward had a Christmas breakfast, which was good. The boys enjoyed sitting on Santa's lap and telling him what they want for Christmas. William wants a white horse. Not sure where that one came from. The boys & Emily all had parts in the Christmas program. They all did a wonderful job.

Paddlefish

Bob's fish was too small & too big.

First Paddlefish of the day. Too small.
Joe's keeper 34 1/2 " long from eye to fork in tail.
Joe & his two keepers.
Joe & Dad went snagging for Paddlefish up at Gavin's Point while Brad & Kyle tagged along. The snagged gar, catfish, carp and paddlefish. Joe snagged 3 Paddlefish in all. One was too small, one was too big and the third was just right. You can't keep a Paddlefish that is between 35" & 45" from the eye to the fork in the tail. Dad's Paddlefish was 40" long, so he had to let it go. They all had fun and we enjoyed Joe's Paddlefish, which Joe cooked for our Sunday meal.

Halloween

We had another fun and successful Halloween. Brad & Kyle carved their own pumpkins while William & Matt cleaned and designed their while Joe & Janette helped carve them. Janette then cooked the pumpkin seeds which tasted like chex mix. They were yummy!

Brad & William were knights, Kyle was a ninja, Matt was Scooby-Doo, & Emily was a pumpkin. Janette stayed home with Emily and handed out candy while Joe took the boys around the neighborhood. They started around 6:30 and ended around 8:30 while stopping at home once to empty their bags. They all came home with lots of candy. Brad weighed his bag and it weighed a little over 7 lbs. The boys were happy with their haul and they think it is going to last until Christmas.

William's Black Eye

For Labor Day we went to Arbor Day Tree farm like we love to do to pick apples and to play. While we were there William, being his usual energetic self ran full speed into a handrail. He hit it so hard he landed flat on his back. He had the largest goose egg I have ever seen. The nest day and the days following as the swelling went down his eye got blacker and blacker. This is a week later when we took this picture and you can see the bruise still. It was even worse. Poor kid, so glad we didn't have to take him in to get his head checked. Don't worry the bruised injury didn't slow him down at all!

Emily

 1 month Old

Emily is already 2 months and weighs 11 lbs and 9 ounces.  She is now 23 inches long.  Here is what we have been upto the last few months with Emily.  She is a very good baby.  She is sleeping about half the nights through the night.  She is everyone's favorite to sit next to in the van.  William is constantly asking to hold her and we find him quite often in her room singing to her in her room.
