Memorial Day

We went to Fremont State Park to fish on Memorial Day for the first time. We had no idea that they had sandy beaches with swim areas. Even though we didn't have towels or swimsuits it didn't stop the boys from going in. After playing in the water and sand for awhile we found a pond to fish at. Everyone caught fish with Joe catching a 10 1/2 trout that the boys were excited to take home and eat. After fishing we then had a picnic dinner and then headed home. Everyone had a blast and can't wait to go back with swimsuits next time.

Matthew Finishes his first year of Preschool

Matthew has been going to school for speech this last year.  His teacher was Mrs. Eddy and he loved preschool!  At the end of the year they did a little program for the parents.

Sunday Fort

It started out as just a small blanket fort.  Pretty soon we had the entire dining room filled with blankets as they boys made individual rooms for themselves.

Janette's Swollen Feet

Janette has had really swollen feet and ankles this pregnancy.  Joe took a lovely picture of them one day.

Ducklings

 Mother with ducklings in nest

Mother hissing, because we were too close

 Escaped duckling

 Mother leading ducklings to pond

Kids with ducklings

After a month of waiting the ducklings in our backyard finally hatched. There were 7 in all. One got through the fence, so Joe carried it back to the nest to be with its family. After a couple of hours in the nest the mother finally led them out. We had to open the gate to let them out. The kids then made sure that the mother and her ducklings made it across the street safely, so that they could make it to the pond.

Father-Son Camp Out

This was Matt's first Father-Son camp out and he had a lot of fun. He was mad that Joe took his stick away from him for a picture. Matt went to bed around 7:30pm and woke up around 6:30am. When he woke up he looked at Joe and said, "I took a nap". They roasted hotdogs, went on a hike, rode bikes, and played around the campground. Everyone coming home safely = another fun Father-Son camp out.
