Shadows
It's not the best picture for the story, but I guess it will do. Yesterday we were playing on the trampoline. Pretty soon William was laughing because someone was jumping with him, it was his shadow. He thought this was so hilarious. He chased his shadow around for a while. Then he realized that this "person" was not leaving him alone. Everywhere he went they followed. Then he got kind of scared and every time he would see his shadow he would run away straight towards me. I would take him off the trampoline, which led to the disappearance of his shadow. He would get on again and notice that once again his shadow was there. I took him to the other side of the trampoline so his shadow would behind him and jumped around until turned around saw his shadow. Then he ran away. He has since gotten use to his shadow, amazing how little minds work.

Random Thoughts and Pictures
It could be that I am being a tad bit lazy, but I only wanted to one post. So it has lots of Random information. So let the scattered thoughts begin. We went to the Doctor last week and set a date for the c-section on July 3rd. For those that don't know, all of our babies have entered the world via c-section. Kyle got a new bike and started riding on training wheels. I found a deal on sports jackets for Sunday, something Bradley has really wanted, so I got them for him and Kyle. When I brought them home, they dressed up in them and played Mr. President. We went to the zoo where William discovered that when you are walking around the zoo there are animals. He was not to fond of the gorilla that walked past him and smacked the glass. He didn't want to see any more gorilla's after that. Joe taught William how to be chew on a piece of grass. 2 Tornadoes touched down in Omaha, we were spared from both, and were blessed not to have any damage to our home or property. We also added a new couch to our house. This was a very exciting purchase for us. I am sure you will see pictures of it in the future. So there is our random life in a random blog post.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day we got together with Tim (Joe's brother) and Amanda and their little boy Blake. We had so much fun fishing, having a picnic, going to the aquarium, and walking around. Bradley loved the geological sight that we saw at the very end, Kyle loved playing on the play ground, and William was a real champ hanging in there all day without getting to mad at us.

Bradley claims that he is the king.
Joe took Bradley and Kyle to a Renaissance Festival. From all reports the trip was a success and the boys had a lot of fun.

Father Son Camp out
This weekend was the annual Father Son Camp out. Bradley, Kyle, and Joe went out camping with our friend Bryan and his son Peter, my Dad, my brother Bill and his boys Michael and Sammy. They had a lot of fun roasting hot dogs, fishing, hiking, eating s'mores, and playing on the playground. William stayed home with me and enjoyed a dinner out with Grandma, Aunt Lisa, and baby Ben.

8 Years
Joe and I celebrated our 8th Anniversary yesterday. Eight years later their aren't many pictures with both of us in it anymore. Just so you know, just because there isn't much evidence, we do things together. So what's changed in eight years.
8 Things That Have Changed in 8 Years
1. We both are college graduates
2. 3 boys with 4th baby on the way
3. Moved to Omaha
4. Bought our First House
5. Bought a minivan
6. We still love each other, just more
7. Less time for us as a couple, more time as us as a family.
8. We are both still competitive, just a little slower in our races - Joe still almost always wins

Janette's Favorite Thing about Marriage: Having someone that knows you better than myself. Knows when I need a break, when I need help, and when just I need a hug.

Give Me a Break
It's been one of those weekends. It started with the lipstick, see post below, followed up by mud pies, messes galore, and finally ended today with the last of the three boys throwing up, concluding our weekend of messes and sickness. At least I know they have all had the stomach flu now. So yes, I believe I have earned it, break me off a piece of that kit kat bar, anyone else need a break?

Do you think this is the right shade of lipstick for me?
"I don't know Mom, do you think this is really my color, and do you think I put enough on? I really want people to notice my beautiful lips. The only way I could get it on was by putting my hand in the lipstick tube and digging it out and then putting it on my lips. I don't know how you do this, or maybe this is why you don't use it very much, because it makes you hands really messy while trying to get it on your mouth." Translated by Janette for William as he jabbered and pointed and laughed about his little discovery in the bathroom.
Things I found out from this experience:
1. Lipstick cleans up very nicely with baby wipes and a warm soapy washcloth.
2. For as messy as William's hands and face got, he contained the mess pretty much to himself, and the drawer!
3. I would much rather clean up this mess than the crayons that he has been redecorating our house with lately.
4. William has very long arms, and is very quick with what he is doing
5. Remember, when it gets a little to quiet go on the hunt for your children, they have found something very interesting.
